I am Joe Thompson. I was born on Long Island, New York. I am the “middle” child of 10 children. After working for several companies in New York City for 11 years, I moved to Alpharetta, Georgia with my wife and 4 children in 1994 as part of a job relocation and for a better quality of life. After a successful 35 year career in the IT Industry, I’ve decided to pursue my lifelong passion as a Realtor. I have downsized from that 5,500 square foot house in Alpharetta to a cozy 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo in Buckhead. As a Realtor, I would like to focus on helping other empty nesters, like me, that would like to follow my footsteps and transition/downsize from larger homes in the suburbs to a carefree ‘Lock and Leave’ living inside the Perimeter where they can enjoy short commutes to work, fine dining, shopping, the Theatre and the Arts, all within walking distance, just as I have done.
